Overview of Small Scale Surveys
Overview of Small Scale Surveys • Analysis of Information during the IPC April 2014 analysis identified gaps in nutrition information in various counties • 28 counties were prioritized, mainly in the conflict/crisis affected states • From these, a further 10 counties were prioritized • To address these gaps, a proposal to conduct small scale nutrition surveys in these areas in 3 rounds (June/August/Oct) was adapted for surveillance
Overview of Small Scale Surveys • UNICEF in collaboration with ACF will provide funding and technical assistance to conduct these small scale surveys • So far ACF has confirmed they will conduct 3 surveys, SCI, 1 survey in June, with plans to conduct the repeat surveys in August and October
Methodology • First round starts in June 2014 • Small scale surveys (25 clusters*10 hhs) will collect data on anthropometry • Mortality will be collected in 1 county out of the 4 in the first round • The second round of surveys will be reviewed based on access and situation
