What actions can you take? • #1 - Demand large banks stop funding the dirty fossil fuel industry and divest of those banks. • Successful fossil fuel industry requires: – Ability to locate, extract and transport the fossil fuels – Big banks to finance their operating expenses and expansions. • In 2017 major banks in U.S. and Canada increased their financial investments in the fossil fuel industry.
U.S. and Canada increased their funding of dirty fossil fuels in 2017!
Divest Exceedingly important that banks decrease and eventually withhold their financing of oil companies.
