Nor orth th Star tar Coo ooki kies es Debi Boughton 1/3 c Shortening 1 t Lemon Juice 1/3 c Sugar 2 ¾ c Flour 1 Egg 1 t Baking Powder 2/3 c Honey 1 t Baking Soda Mix all cookie dough ingredients thoroughly. Chill. Roll out to ¼″ thick; cut into Star shapes. Place 1″ apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes. Brie ie En n Crou oute te Mindy Collins 1 sheet puff pastry 3-4 T Fig preserves 8-10 oz round Brie Egg Wash Cheese Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line baking sheet with Parchment Paper, Lay Puff Pastry sheet in middle of pan. Center the Brie on the puff pastry, Spoon Fig Preserves over top of brie. Bring edges of puff pastry together at the top and pinch edges together as you fold them. Turn over and center on pan. Coat top of puff pastry with egg wash. Bake 25 minutes (about) or until golden brown. Let cool a few minutes. Drizzle more preserves over the top. Fre resh sh Cra ranberry nberry Rel elish ish 12 oz Cranberries, FRESH 1 whole Orange, diced, remove seeds 1 c Sugar Wash & drain cranberries. Cut orange into smaller pieces, remove the seeds. Process cranberries and orange, including the peel and pith. Place in bowl and stir in sugar. Refrigerate. Stir and serve cold. Serves 10 www.visitkirksville.com/cooking-up-christmas/
Cran anberr berry y Jal alap apeno eno Dip ip 2 Tbsp Cilantro 1 tbsp Lemon juice 12 oz Cranberries, fresh 1/8 tsp Salt 1/4 cup Green onion 1 cup Sugar 1 Jalapeno pepper, fresh 16 oz cream cheese (2 packages), softened Wash and drain cranberries. Place in food processor & process till texture is small & fine, but not too liquid. Place in medium bowl. Mince 2 T. Cilantro, ¼ c. Green Onion and 1 Jalapeno pepper. (remove seeds). Mix all items together then add to cranberries. Mix well. Add 1 T. lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 1/8 tsp salt to cranberries. Mix well. Place mixture in colander or large strainer over a bowl. Refrigerate till cold. On platter or medium serving tray, spread 16 oz. cream cheese evenly over entire platter. Whipped cream cheese can be used if desired. Spread drained cranberry mixture evenly over cream cheese. Serve with crackers.
