Overview § ACT is a venture capital fund operating since July 2015, that makes pre-seed (PoC), seed and round A investments for the commercialization of technologies that are developed in Turkey. § The current commitments to the fund is EUR 22.5 Million . § The Fund was established as a Dutch entity and has five investment professionals. § ACT will invest in around 20 projects by the end of 2017. § ACT may invest up to EUR 2.5M per project (preferably in multiple rounds) in exchange for company shares (preferably significant minority – i.e. %20-%40). § Target technologies are micro and nano-electronics, Internet of Things, Software as a Service, robotics, advanced materials, clean technologies, biotechnology and medical technologies.

What we are looking for? • When examining projects we are looking for strong IP and technology with respect to the current state-of-the-art in order to create and maintain a barrier to entry. • ACT aims to pick start-ups that has the potential to become global players.
Process Flow § Projects are regularly delivered to ACT from its collaborating universities (TTOs), techno-parks, accelerators, incubators, our mentors, and other business networks. § The selection and evaluation process is conducted carefully with the support of ACT’s mentor network, formed of local and international sector experts. § We have so far processed over 700 projects. § Regarding governance, transparency and accountability, ACT complies with Invest Europe guidelines and code of conduct.
