Introduction Rubber breeding in Indonesia has been carried out since 1917 Up to now produced four generation clones -G1 : 1917 – 1935 (selected clones) -G2 : 1935 – 1960 (Tjir 1, PR 107, GT 1, AV 2037) -G3 : 1960 – 1985 (BPM, PR, TM series) -G4 : 1985 – 2010 ( IRR series ) reduced immature period from 6-7 yr to 4 yr increased productivity from 500 to 2500 kg/ha/yr
