  3. A credit is a value, based on the number of instruction/contact hours per week. What is a credit? Most courses are the equivalent of 3-4 credits. Lab courses utilize the model of 1 credit = 3 hours.

IB/AP Credit for 2020 testing: • MSU will accept the credit as provided on the equivalency documents. • We are currently talking about AP and IB testing for 2020, to provide even more flexibility. We will update you on this as information is available. • You can deny AP/IB credit, if you desire to do so. • You MUST deny credit no later than the end of fall semester of your first year. • Consult with your academic advisor regarding AP/IB credit and career goals.
