The difference National Lottery players make • Since 1994 National Lottery players have raised over £5million to celebrate Newcastle’s heritage • 82 groups have delivered community projects • We’ll be hosting a celebration event and project roadshow 1:30pm on 9 April at Belong Heritage Gallery 3

Who we fund • We fund not-for-profit organisations, public bodies and partnerships e.g. • Community and voluntary groups • Charities and trusts • Community interest companies • Places of worship • Councils, local authorities and public bodies • We also fund individuals or companies who are private owners of heritage up to £100,000 8

Support for Newcastle • Newcastle was a priority development area April 2013- March 2019 • There has been no ring fenced funding • Development officers have had extra time to host events, promote funding and broker partnerships • Staff continue to be available to provide advice/support for projects over £10,000 • Less proactive promotional work 11
