Mould of the pineapple By: John Taghavi
Goal of the Experiment The goal of the experiment was to determine how the pineapple reacts to different liquids.
The Variable The variable of the experiment was to pour different liquids on the pineapple and determine which pineapple grows the most mould.
Hypothesis My hypothesis was that if a pineapple had carrot juice poured on it then it would grow the most mould because of all the nutrients the carrot juice has.
Controlling the Experiment For my experiment I used the same kind of bowls, all bowls were placed in the same location.
Procedure 1. Cut pieces of fresh pineapple. 2. Place pineapple pieces in separate bowls. 3. Pour different liquids inside the bowl. 4. Quickly wrap a plastic over the bowl. 5. Carefully place bowls on the counter .

Conclusion My Hypothesis was right! The pineapple with the carrot juice did grow the most mould.
What I Learned in this Experiment I learned that mould feeds on nutrients and it needs oxygen like humans do. My question that I have now is that how long can mould live for.
