Typical day in Reception… • Start at 8:50am • Early morning activities – register, ordering their lunch and organising belongings • Learning time • 10am Collective worship • 10:30am – Morning playtime – Snack • Milk time (for children up to their 5 th Birthday) • Learning Time • Lunchtime – School dinner free for all KS1 children • Learning Time • Afternoon playtime • Fruit time in the classroom • Learning Time • Home time 3:15pm

Getting ready for September … • Literacy and Maths – Meetings with Mr Purkiss on ‘Induction Mornings’ and again in September for teaching strategies and top tips! Getting ready document to take home today. • Practice dressing independently, order of clothes, label uniform, coats and PE kits please! • Eating with a knife and a fork • Be aware of technology use – listening and attention and eyesight. • Pencil grip • Independence in toileting • Talk about school and routines of school, look at photo booklet from preschools • Most of all…please don't worry!
