  17.  52 cfs enters school site from southwest  107 cfs enters from Valentine and Coconino Streets  Combines as 173 cfs along north side of school  Additional flow from Kerkes Street combines for a total of 192 cfs  Discharges to River at 213 cfs  Very little slope from Kerkes Street to River Page 17 of 24

  18.  Resolves flooding at Kerkes Trailhead area  Protects school site from flooding*  Provides additional access to Kerkes Trailhead  Combines access road with drainage channel  Low-water crossing of Kerkes Street  New access and traffic circulation for school parking lot  Relocate school bus entry to staging area  Additional one-way exit from parking lot to bus staging and Kerkes Street * Up to 100-year, 6-hour rainfall Page 18 of 24

  22.  Preliminary Project Cost Estimate = $1.9 million (not including property acquisition and permitting)  Sanitary sewer relocation  Possible waterline and electrical relocation  Channel must be closed during wet weather with appropriate signage  Design channel for major stormwater flows and heavy vehicles  Property ownership/acquisition  Floodplain Use/Corps 404 permitting Page 22 of 24

  23.  Partnership Considerations ◦ Decision should be made soon to enable both parties to move forward on respective key projects (Kerkes Trailhead and Hassayampa parking lot) ◦ Funding options  WUSD has adopted adjacent ways tax to fund this and other projects.  Short-term financing (loan or bond) could be considered.  Possible grants (one in progress). ◦ Value engineering and phasing options ◦ Final design process Page 23 of 24
