2018-2019 Exchange, In Brief ● 15 Utrecht Network members sent 55 students (67 semesters) to MAUI members University of Strasbourg sent the most (12 semesters) ○ ○ Oklahoma University received 18 ● 27 UN members received 90 MAUI students (94 semesters) ○ Masaryk University & Eotvos Lorand University received the most (9 semesters) ○ University College Cork remains most popular (6 semesters received, 9 on waitlist) ○ Oklahoma State & University of Nebraska-Omaha each sent 14
2019-2020 Initial Placements, In Brief ● 14 UN members nominated 61 students (84 semesters). All of them were placed (54 at their first choice, 2 second choice, 5 third choice) 20 UN members accepted 68 MAUI students (74 semesters).58 were ● placed at their first choice, 8 second choice, 2 third choice. Eight MAUI students were not placed because they only had one choice and they were waitlisted for that choice. MAUI universities continue to recruit, particularly for Spring 2020. ○
What’s New ● New President: Dr. Sukant Misra, Texas Tech University ○ He wants to expand & diversify MAUI beyond student exchange with UN ● Study Abroad Task Force ○ Marketing materials ○ Social media presence New exchange partners (UMAP?) ○ ● Building a new website ● Nomination/Withdrawal Process ● New partner: Colorado State University - no exchange yet
