HISTORY Mangelsdorf Engineering Pty Ltd is a renowned machining company located in both Kalgoorlie and Perth, Western Australia. We are dedicated to mining equipment machining, fabrication and repairs. We design and manufacture a range of underground and surface drill rig hydraulic components, cylinders and parts and provide a comprehensive repair service using state of the art machinery in the manufacture of these products and also ensure that they are tested for reliability, efficiency and durability. In order to provide better service to our customers, last year Mangelsdorf Engineering in rock drill repairs and have now established a dedicated rock drill division headed up with a highly experienced team.
SERVICE OFFERING Mangelsdorf Rock Drill Division offer high-quality and efficient rock drill service and support. Our expertise provides professional rock drill maintenance and repairs to help our customers maintain excellent drill rig performance. Our goal is to help our customers reduce their cost per meter by reducing drifter rebuild costs, reduce rebuild turnaround times and to achieve drifter service intervals with ease i.e. 500 perc.hours. With a highly experienced team dedicated to rock drill repairs we guarantee the quality of our work, offering OEM warranty on all drifter rebuilds.
IN HOUSE REPAIRS & BENEFITS Mangelsdorf Engineering carry out in house machining, service and repairs to drifters, reducing average turnaround time to a maximum of 10 working days. All drifters are measured and checked to ensure they are in line with our manufacturing standard. We use; • Quality proven none OEM parts • OEM parts • In house manufactured parts to reduce rebuild costs & ultimately cost per impact hour. No modifications are carried out on any drifters without the approval of the customer. Where modifications are made to enhance performance or life of the drifter the customer shall be notified in advance if they would like to proceed.
CUSTOMER CARE To meet individual customer demands and to ensure fast turnaround times, in certain cases we are able to supply a reconditioned rock drill which can be rented until the rock drill is serviced, providing minimum disturbance to your production. We also offer hire buy agreements on several models to reduce capital expenditure.

Q&A and REPORTING Each rebuild is followed by our track and trace QA service. Each drifter is given a dedicated internal reference number on the start of a strip and quote assessment and used throughout the rebuild on the drifter. This internal identification number supports all job information such as parts used, machining spec. history and technical information. This history is then used to help highlight any performance issues, major parts time life and to identify any drill rig issues which may have caused drifter problems i.e. failure report. Any urgent issues found are quickly reported to the customer to eliminate any further damage to other drifters on site. Depending on the customer’s requirements a Drifter repair status report (Work in Progress Reports) are generated and sent via email on a fortnightly or monthly basis, but on request can be sent weekly.
