Mentorship ● How is a mentor relationship different than a supervisor relationship? ● Mentors provide feedback, support, coaching, opportunities for dialogue and open communication, and general guidance ● Reciprocal relationship ● Mentoring during internships provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the depth and breadth of career placement opportunities both within the organization as well as in the industry in general

Internship Placements ● ~ 9 Week Internship, 40 hrs/wk ● Private, public, or non-profit sector ● Stipend funding ● Located in Houston, Austin, San Francisco, Washington D.C., or Boston
LRME Timeline Spring ○ Workshops (all are mandatory) ● March Workshop 1 (2.5 hours either on weekday or Saturday morning; week of March 23, 2020) ● April Workshop 2 (2.5 hours either on weekday or Saturday morning; week of April 6, 2020) ● May Workshop on Friday May 8, 2020 (9:30 am - 5:00 pm) Summer ○ Mentorship ○ Cohort meetups (geographic + common interest) ○ Internship (~ 9 weeks and 40 hrs/wk June 1,2020-July 31,2020) ○ LEAD 250 (summer course) Fall ○ Final LRME cohort meeting ○ CCL Showcase
