Computer Lab Enhancements Accomplishments: • A130 Lecture hall received new wiring and instructional technology • New Citrix labs: A351, B015, B019 Equipped for Comp. ESSSE Project E ssential S ystems S tabilization and S ecurity E nhancements 7 essential systems identified Banner SSB and INB, Luminis portal, Room Booking System (Schedule Expert), www.langara.bc.ca, Account provisioning, Lab and desktop software, College phone system Banner – Upgrade to Oracle 12c is planned over Christmas break Luminis – Upgrade is planned for the end of Jan 2016. Flood Intervention Flood in A building affecting the Mac Lab (A110) • Timely intervention by IT employees • Lab cleared, all equipment saved • No water damage to equipment • Lab relocated to library, then back to A110 • Prevented large resource loss to the college • Enabled successful launch of the Web and Mobile App Design and Development Program INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
