Curriculum Vitae Jan H. van Lierde °B - Beveren, 11 may 1954 1978 Graduated as an architect at the “Stedelijk Hoger Instituut Voor Architectuur en Stedebouw” in Ghent - Belgium. Trainee architect at Lode Verbeke’s architect’s firm in Sint Niklaas (B). Projects: recreation resort, hospital, abbey, private houses 1978 – 1983 Start up of own architect’s advice bureau Projects: Belgium: movie theatre in Leopoldsburg and Deinze, private houses, several industrial buildings. Egypt: holiday village, extension airport building Algeria: low cost housing, factory for electrical switches. Scotland: urbanization project in Aberdeen. 1982 1982 Formation of “gallery 72” in Beveren-Waas (B): meeting place for human being and art. 1983 Establishment of pvba Kreon, O. Zandstraat 72 in Beveren (B): advice distributive trade in light fixtures and interior design. 1984 1984 the studio Nv Kreon moves to Frankrijklei 126 in Antwerp (B) and its activities expand to wholesale business in lighting. 1986 1986 Establishment of nv Oikos and formation of vzw Sintesis (a non-profit institution with the objective to accomplish a between comp.cooperation between companies in the field of interior decoration). First presentation of the “Metis” collection of Kreon nv at Euroluce in Milan (I). 1987 Suspension of activities as trading firm and start of own production. Launch of the Kreon collection “upside- down”. 1988 Launch of the Kreon collection “inside - out” Collaboration with Keith Haring and Kita with as result “on” taro - giro. 1989 Wind collection (Kreon): nord-east-west-south. 1992 Kreon nv moves to Frankrijklei 106 in Antwerp (B). 1993 Launch of Diapason series (Kreon). 1994 Launch of fm series (Kreon) in the buildings of Fabrimetal Establishment of Vektron nv, Siemenslaan 4 in Dilsen (B), the new manufacturing unit. 1995 Establishment of Zenon aydinlatma, Istanbul (Turkey). Objective: extension of the production unit. 1996 Launch Index series (Kreon) as well as the “Vektron” ceiling system with integrated techniques. Design for Artemide: multifunctional lamp “echos”. 1997 Launch of “mini side” series (Kreon).
