  2. Registration Steps 1. Review course offerings and complete your registration form using a pencil. 2. Use worksheet to enter course requests through Parent Portal 3. Print a summary of online requests 4. Sign registration forms where indicated (parent and student) 5. Return the pink worksheet and online request summary to your middle school next week

  3. Comprehensive High School Options • LHS strives to prepare each student for their chosen pathway which includes both traditional and IB courses. • Students may choose to study at the standard or IB MYP/Honors level for either pathway. The only exception is their Civics class. • Regardless of class choices in 9 th and 10 th grade all programs will be available to all students in 11 th and 12 th grade; traditional, AP and IB.

COURSE OFFERINGS: • Comprehensive curriculum in all core subjects: English, Math, Science, & Social Studies • 4 world languages: French, German, Spanish and American Sign Language • Standard level and Honors level are offered in all core classes as well as French, German, and Spanish. • Wide variety of elective options International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) • Open to all students • MYP Certificate of Completion – Complete 9 th & 10 th grade MYP classes Personal Project in 10 th grade

  5. IB MYP/HONORS COURSES High ability, motivated learners Faster pace Prep for AP, IB Diploma, or concurrent enrollment classes. All three options are college level and may carry college credit. Flexibility to choose which honors courses fit well with the student’s ability level

  17. Please use a pencil to fill out your forms

  18. Online Course Requests 1) Log in to Campus Portal 2) Click on “More” and then select “Course Registration”

  19. Search for Classes Begin by clicking on “Add Course”

  20. Search for Classes Search by: Course Name or Course Number

  21. Click on + sign to add class to your list

  22. Add each class to your list of requests (16 needed) or add to your list of alternates (2 ELA classes + 4 others)

  23. Dropping a class If you make a mistake, you can simply click the red X to remove a class from your list

  24. Ready to Print? Once you have all request (16/16 units) + alternates, click “Print”

  25. Printouts require a parent/guardian signature Return printout with your worksheet

  26. Tips For Students • Finish 8 th grade strongly • Early grades count • Athletes: be aware of NCAA requirements • Make the most of your high school experience!

  27. Tips For Parents • Encourage challenging courses & opportunities for college credit • Keep lines of communication open – Campus Portal • Encourage extracurricular activities • Use the LHS website • Build an expectation for post-secondary training

  28. Pick up Dates Return pink worksheet and printout of online course requests. Two options: Registration follow-up @ Loveland High School – Wednesday, February 5. This is an opportunity to get questions answered and return forms A-K – 6:00 pm L-Z – 6:30 pm Return during school hours: Thursday, February 6 Lucile Erwin MS (with HS Counselors) Friday, February 7 Bill Reed MS (with HS Counselors) All other middle schools
