  9. APPLICATION PROCESS *applying is a step that you only need to complete once. If you have enrolled in JCCC courses in the past, you have already been accepted. 1. Apply on-line as a JCCC student by August 31st http://admissions.jccc.edu

  10. What to expect next… ● Your student will receive an email to the email address they provide on the application with directions to set up their myjccc account. ● They will need this account to enroll in the course online. ● They will also receive email correspondence from JCCC through this account.

  11. ENROLLMENT 
 & TUITION PAYMENT 
 PROCESS 2. Send Test Scores (ACT scores or take Accuplacer Test if necessary) http://www.jccc.edu/admissions/early-college/high-school-concurrent-enrollment/high-school- testing.html • English Composition I – ACT English sub-score 19 or higher • College Algebra and Pre-Calculus – ACT Math sub-score 25 or higher • Chemistry, Physics, Statistics and Trigonometry – ACT Math sub-score 26 or higher • Calculus – ACT Math sub-score 28 or higher Chemistry and College Algebra – 
 Please remind students who are planning on taking Chemistry this fall that College Algebra is a pre- or co-requisite for Chemistry. Students either need to have already taken College Algebra at JCCC, tested out of College Algebra, or enroll in it at the same time they enroll in Chemistry. Students must also be sure to enroll in both the lecture and the lab sections for Chemistry. For additional testing questions, please visit our College Now Testing Information page.

  12. How to send ACT Scores: 3 options: 1) List JCCC as a receiving school when registering for the ACT. If that was done, JCCC already has the scores. 2) Go to www.actstudent.org and click on “send your scores” to send them to JCCC. 3) Send a transcript. All OW transcripts must be requested through www.careercruising.com Your student will need to complete this step by logging into their account. This will take 2-3 days for JCCC to receive, so you CANNOT wait until the enrollment deadline date. OW counselors cannot send scores.

  13. My Transcripts Career Cruising Students from the class of 2018 and beyond will use Career Cruising to request their transcript. Please request transcripts at least 2 weeks prior to the application deadline. To initiate a request for a transcript: 1. Log onto www.careercruising.com . After logging into Career Cruising using your schools credentials, log onto your individual plan. 2. From My Plan , click My Education 3. Select My Transcripts . 4. Click Send Ad-Hoc Transcript Request . 5. Select the destination for your request. 6. If the NCAA is the destination, confirm the request. If the destination is a college, click a state and then choose the college by name. 7. Click Send Now to confirm the request.

Accuplacer Test Requirement: Take Accuplacer TEST by September 14 Take photo ID & JCCC student ID number (from acceptance email) to JCCC Student Center- 3 rd Floor/ Testing Center- allow one hour per test ◦ Check out www.jccc.edu/testing for Test Center hours, study guides and security requirements which are STRICT!!! ◦ STUDENTS HAVE TWO ATTEMPTS TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE SCORE!

GRANT MONEY AVAILABLE THROUGH JCCC & OPSF ◦ Financial Assistance is available for those students who qualify for free or reduced lunch! ◦ See Mrs. Schmidt-Konkel in the jr office ASAP for application ◦ Students will submit application and complete the enrollment process by the deadline. ◦ Students & parents will be notified via mail about grant decision. Will have the opportunity to drop without penalty if necessary.
