What is Flipped Classroom? T raditional Classroom Flipped Classroom Students learn the T eachers teach in class content at home T eachers assign homework Students carry out to do at home classroom activities to showcase learning
Flipped Classroom lesson (At Home) Students learn the content by watching a video assigned by the teacher Students take down their questions and notes while watching the video Students can rewatch the video to get a better understanding
Flipped Classroom lesson (In class) Students can ask questions with regards to the video watched at home T eacher to explain these questions to clarify the concept Students start with classroom activities to showcase their learning of the content learnt Example: Group discussion, Presentation, Video Recording, Worksheets, etc
Flipped Classroom lesson (In class) Students to present their work to the class T eacher to explain common misunderstanding of concepts from students' work
Advantages of a Flipped Classroom Students can learn at their own pace as all students learn at different pace Students do not need to bring back a lot of practices that they are not sure on how to do Students can always revise what was taught even when the teachers have proceeded with the next chapter
