Introduction Founded in 1987, to represent the interests of the gas industry stakeholders in one strong voice by emphasizing the benefits of natural gas as a clean, abundant, efficient and local secure energy source. EGA’s diverse members recognize that the natural gas provides solutions for Egypt’s environmental & economic goals. The EGA is as a non-profit organization, and works under the Egyptian social affairs law, rules & regulations, by the decree No. (3637) for year (1989). 1

EGA International Exposure “EGA” is a charter member of the International Gas Union (IGU), and its members are active in various IGU governing and working committees cooperating with international gas experts from all around the globe. IGU members (associations/companies) represent 91 countries; The more than 140 members of IGU are representing over 97% of the global gas market; IGU Serves as spokesperson for the gas industry since 1931; IGU Promotes political, technical & economic progress of the gas industry, as well as it holds prestigious gas conferences Advocate the political, technical and economic progress of the global gas industry. Improve the competitiveness of gas in the world energy markets. Demonstrate the benefits of gas in the global energy mix. Support the development of new technologies and best practices 12
WGC, June 2018, USA The results of the work in each committee are presented by the World Gas Conference. More than 1000 international experts are members in the IGU committees. In addition to 6 Regional Coordinators, who one of them is for Middle East & Africa and headed by EGA . EGA Participation In this triennium 2015-18, Egypt is presented through EGA in two committees and two task forces. More over, one of EGA members is the chair of TF2 “Workforce Development”. in “EGA” members have participated in recent exhibitions and were key players involved in the management and presidency of the WGC triennium of 2009, 2012 & 2015 by joining in several task forces and committee meetings. “EGA” has also been active in several international events, regional research, training, conferences and exhibitions related to the natural gas industry. 12

In the End EGA IS WORKING HARD TO Promote the advancement of a sustainable Egyptian gas industry through advocacy and communication. Enhance the Egyptian natural gas industry, along with exchanging ideas and innovative technologies with international key players Strength the role of gas in the energy mix by establishing an ongoing dialogue with local industry players, global producers of gas and relevant institutions.
