Coming into full pose ❖ set up ❖ walking feet in ❖ stepping into pose ❖ unfurling ❖ straightening ❖ take a few breaths; very short hold ❖ reverse to come down with control
Awarenesses at this level ❖ This is a big moment for students! ❖ Can be done at wall or with spotting in the middle of room. ❖ Stay here for awhile to learn how to engage lats and press forearms down into the floor, lifting the shoulders to create space around the neck. ❖ Resist the temptation to go further until stable.
Awarenesses at this level ❖ By stabilizing at this level, until feet no longer need to touch the wall, the other steps are easy. ❖ This where students learn to control the entry and exit, and avoid crashing into the wall. ❖ Even without using other core strengtheners, the body will get stronger by stabilizing here. ❖ However, additional core work will enhance this stage.
