Region of Learning - The potential for the Humber to be the first recognised Region of Learning in the country: • Enhancing current activity • Adding value re additional partnerships • National recognition by the RSA and govt. ASK services will support schools to achieve: • Links to the Careers Strategy • Evidence towards Gatsby Benchmark 7 • Meeting schools statutory obligations under Baker Claus to allow training providers access to pupils to promote apprenticeships • DfE Guidance – From September 2018 all school establishments must publish information about the schools careers programme to pupils year 8-13. Also have a designated career lead • Ofsted new School Inspection Handbook (Sept 18) has more reference to impartial careers guidance with clear grading markers • Compliments CEC Compass tool We can offer you free ASK programme services in schools/colleges which links to all of the above. Young Apprentice Ambassadors Network The main purpose of the ambassadors role is to promote apprenticeships and inspire other young people by describing their experience.
