Let’s look at the changes Reorganized to make more student and parent friendly: ● Moved all general information to the front and reorganized in a more logical flow ● Added index back at the end ● Added tabs along the side of subject-area pages
New Courses ● IB Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation ● IB Mathematics: Analysis ● Environmental Science ● Digital Applications ● Cybersecurity & Information Technology Fundamentals
Courses Removed The following courses were removed due to low enrollment or lack of staffing for the past five years. ● Advanced Composition ● DE Calculus ● Mathematics Capstone ● Hotel Marketing ● Principles of Technology I & II
Other Changes of NOte Condensed course descriptions to make them more ● student and parent friendly SOL Requirements updated to reflect the 2017 ● Standards of Accreditation New VDOE diploma seal for Excellence in Science and ● the Environment Weighted credit in individual IB classes is no longer ● based on students taking the end-of-year exam Parallels AP weighted grade and exam practice
Updated the flow ● chart for the math sequence to reflect the variety of options students could take Expanded the grade ● levels of some electives to afford more opportunities for students
