Key questions (before we recruit) 1) Do you have a recruitment procedure/process in place? 2) Do you have people who will administer this recruitment process? 3) Ideas for how you might find volunteers and recruit them?
1) Recruitment Process / Procedure • ‘Simple’ Application /expression of interest form? • How do you advertise? • Shortlist….identify best candidate ? • Do you have any informal chats? • Is the process fair?
2) Do you have people who will administer this recruitment process? • Follow up ‘Hot leads’ • Set up small group to go through any expressions of interest • Advertise roles or head up recruitment events • Someone to welcome the volunteer into the club/provide training • Contact for anyone interested in the role advertised
3) Ideas for recruiting volunteers? • Club Fun days • Recruitment events • Registration forms • Social media • Posters within the club • Club survey • Word of mouth / face to face • Local community including schools, colleges and universities
