Management of Crown Land Crown land reserve is public land that has been set aside for public purposes for the enjoyment and benefit of the people of Victoria Obligations under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978: responsibility and authority to manage, improve, maintain and control the reserve

Constitution: Aim To improve the management of the foreshore reserve for the benefit of the broader community and the longer term conservation of the foreshore environment

Constitution: Objectives • Construction or repair of sea walls found to be necessary • Removal of debris from collapsed sea wall • Supporting strategic solutions to tackle erosion including sea grass replanting and mangrove re-vegetation in non-residential areas: ie: no plantings along the Frederick Drive Foreshore or between Pier Rd and the end of Malcolm Drive
Increased consultation & information sharing • Newsletter – second edition • Articles in ‘The Sentinal Times’ and ‘Philip Island Advertiser • CoM has established relationships with Corinella and Lang Lang Foreshore CoMs • Developing a good working relationship with DSE & MOU with Bass Coast Shire
