The GNSO’s SIN working week • 9 sessions and a working lunch on S aturday including a meeting of the S CI, the S tanding Committee on Improvement Implementation. • Discussion session with the Board on S aturday afternoon. • S unday work cut short by GAC/ Board discussions, but still 4 sessions, including new gTLD and PDP WT updates. • S takeholder/ constituency meetings on Tuesday • Public Council meeting on Wednesday & follow-up on Thursday • Workshops on UDRP , Consumer Metrics, Best Practices

Accomplishments 1. Adoption of recommendations on Inter-Registrar transfers (IRTP-B) and initiation of a PDP on IRTP Part C 2. Adoption of new text to handle proxy voting in the O Council ’ s Operating Procedures. GNS 3. Discussions on a possible review to the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy UDRP – issue report recommends no PDP be initiated. 4. Ongoing discussions on prioritization and best use of volunteer and staff resources.

Ongoing Progress • GNSO Improvements: – One of t he 2 GNS O improvement st eering commit t ees (Policy Process S t eering Commit t ee) now closed. Final Report on t he new GNS O PDP submit t ed for Council considerat ion – S t anding Commit t ee t o t rack implement at ion of t he GNS O improvement s has st art ed it s work (group plans F2F at every ICANN meet ing). – Rules on Proxy procedures approved by Council, meaning t hat rest ruct ured GNS O Council Operat ing Procedures are more or less complet e.

Ongoing Progress • Working Groups and ongoing projects : – Post -expirat ion Domain Name Recovery (mot ion t o be considered soon, includes a number of proposals t o t he Board and for t he adopt ion of cert ain best pract ices) – DT on Cross communit y Working Groups (ident ifying key issues) – WHOIS st udies, several st udies underway (misuse of public gTLD WHOIS info; Proxy/ Privacy abuse and reveal… ) – Met rics for Compet it ion, Consumer Trust and Consumer Choice(est ablish definit ions, measures and t arget s)
