Forest Road BOE Presentation 1/24/2019 - Principal Jeff Bergholtz
We believe in instruction that is... Inquiry Based - Engaging students to become invested in their own learning begins by activating their curiosity. Inquiry based learning allows students to explore, hypothesize, and test their own thinking. Teachers facilitate the learning and coach students to find solutions that are effective, efficient and supported by evidence.
La Grange 102 Strategic Goals #3 Student Development: Develop an instructional model based on student interests and needs that provide customized learning tools and opportunities to each student to achieve and grow to the best of their ability.

I like to choose my topic, because if not I may not know about it, but if I choose, I have an interest in it.” Blake K. - “Mexico, Day of the Dead. I wanted to remember people that aren’t here anymore. I like to pick because I was already interested in day of the dead.” Tatum F. - “Spain, St George’s day and Christmas. I picked Spain because cousins live there. The two were related. I Like to pick, because otherwise can be spoiled. I like not to be told and learn by yourself.”

I like to study it my own way because it is cooler, and we can do more experiments create my own experiment...it’s funner...you can help each other do it our way.” Jack P. - “I like it because you can do what you want, ask weird, silly questions, some easy, but don’t know the answer… it’s not wrong, everything is an answer to a hypothesis, only a few are ever right.”
