Folsom High School Senior Class Oral Presentations Hello! First of all, please know your Senior staff has been working hard to come up with a plan to ensure your Senior Graduation completion is finalized as soon as possible. We understand the extreme stress and anxiety you and your family are facing during this pandemic. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you or if you find yourself panicking. The point of this process is the journey: what have you learned, where were the snags? BREATHE. I just want to help you finish! Here are some items to help you along the way: ■ Make sure you are on my Remind 101. Text to 81010. Then, In the message of the text: ● to join Period 2 text in the message “@fhsdreeve2” ● to join Period 5 text in the message “@fhsdreeve5” ■ I will do a zoom meeting next week for my regular seniors. You must have turned in a zoom permission form to google classroom in order to participate in Zoom forum. Students in my classroom turned in to my classroom, ■ How to use zoom? Zoom Meetings Training Reference Guide ASSIGNMENT PART 1: Your group will create your final presentation either in Zoom OR in Flipgrid, record it, and post it in google classroom ○ NEW TIME LIMIT: Keep your presentation time 10 - 15 min MAX. ○ We understand the stress of a thirty minute presentation on you, on technology and on what we are asking others to assess. Presentations submitted to Google Classroom by May 1 ○ ASSIGNMENT PART 2: Ms. Reeve will upload all presentations to Schoology or Google Classroom (pending availability of technology) after May 1st - each one to their own discussion board. More than likely it will be in google classroom. ● Students will then be asked to give feedback (as judges) in the discussion board (see rubric below) . ● Each group will ask two other groups to be their “official” judges. Others will be asked to comment. ● More information to come in the zoom meeting about expectations on the feedback and scoring. ● Yes, you will be expected to interact with EACH presentation given as if it was given in class. ● Reflection - There will be a reflective question asked upon completion of this process. Just be aware it is coming.
