CREMONA FAIRGROUNDS March, 18-20 2011 ITALY: A CONTINUOUSLY GROWING MARKET The renewable energy market in Italy is continuously growing; the latest figures say that in 2009 the use of renewables increased by the 20.5% The more diffused plants are in the hydropower sector (70.4%), followed by biogas and urban garbage (11.5%), wind and photovoltaic energy (10.1%) and geothermal energy (8%).
