  11. Every coffee bean we roast is verified sustainable. We roast 370 billion sustainable coffee beans every year. If you put them in line, they would go 6 8 tim es around the world. As one of the first large roasteries in the world, we only use coffe that has been verified sustainable. Although we reached this big goal, our work with sustainability continues. 13

  12. SUSTAINABILITY Partnership programs Appr 20 % of our coffee is sourced through Paulig Certifications Partnership Programs. The focus in these joint Appr. 80 % of our coffee is sourced as certified. programs is increasing the profitability of the coffe farming and minimizing the climate impact. We use UTZ, Rainforest Alliance and Fairtarde Partnership programs comply with the same certications combined with organic sustainability criterias as the certifications .

CORPORATE BIOFUEL PROGRAMME SINCE 2012 • Aims to develop and maintain KLM’s sustainability by: • Reducing our environmental footprint • Offering responsible products for our customers • Increase demand for biofuel • From single flights to daily flights • Only one producer of biofuel (LAX) • Reduce your business travel footprint up to 80% • Goal: local production of sustainable biofuel

  26. CO2ZERO PROGRAMME CO2ZERO programme enables all our passengers to compensate for their share of the CO2 emitted during their flight. More than 260,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions have been compensated via KLM’s CO2ZERO The compensation has mainly been invested in cooking stoves in Ghana. As a result, around 50,000 African families were given better stoves over the past ten years. Since October 2017, KLM invests the compensation funding in a reforestation project in Panama, called the ‘CO2OL Tropical Mix’.
