REOPENING SCHOOLS: E-LEARNING Curriculum • Curriculum may be delivered via recorded mini-lessons (asynchronous) and/or live small group instruction (synchronous) • Delivery will vary by grade and be determined by teachers • Students opting into E-Learning quarterly will receive instruction aligned with current District curriculum and schedules • Students opting into E-Learning for the school year may receive alternative curriculum Learning Management Platform Consistent platforms will be used to access instruction, learning plans and classroom information • Schoology • Seesaw • Google Platform • Wisconsin E-Network (Online Learning Center Only) Devices and Access • District provided Chromebooks (all grade levels) • Families requiring internet access, please contact schools or Technology Services REOPENING OF SCHOOLS 2020-21 SPAPSD

REOPENING SCHOOLS: E-LEARNING Assessment and Feedback • May be administered digitally or in 'real-time' • Formative and summative assessments will be used to guide instruction and monitor student progress • Feedback provided through learning management platform (Schoology, Seesaw or Google) Student Work Expectations • Students will be required to participate in regular communication and discussions as outlined by their instructor • Real time instruction will be a component, but E-Learning will not mimic a virtual classroom operating 'bell-to-bell' • Teachers provide support and feedback throughout the week Grading • Traditional grading (Secondary A-F, Elementary 1-4) REOPENING OF SCHOOLS 2020-21 SPAPSD

REOPENING SCHOOLS: E-LEARNING Students with IEP/504 Plans • Services will receive services as outlined in student plans • Student Services staff or student case manager contact • Some traveling or in-home services may require modifications Supporting Your Student • Help your student stay organized • Provide a quiet place to learn • Staying connected to students' teacher is key to identifying early warning signs that a student is struggling Social Emotional Learning • Lean on existing curricular components of Second Step, Random Acts, Zones of Regulation and Advisory periods delivered in an E-Learning environment REOPENING OF SCHOOLS 2020-21 SPAPSD

REOPENING SCHOOLS: E-LEARNING Clubs and Activities • Assuming school is able to resume in a blended learning environment, clubs and activities will take place with social distancing and safety measures in place • E-Learning students may participate in-person • Virtual participation opportunities cannot be guaranteed • Working to develop transportation plan with shuttle hub locations for students/families that are unable to self-transport Food Service • Waivers have been applied for to allow the District the ability to provide a meal option for E-Learning and blended learning students throughout the community • Grab-and-Go Meals will end August 20 • Families in need of assistance are encouraged to apply for Free/Reduced lunch and school fee waivers REOPENING OF SCHOOLS 2020-21 SPAPSD

RETURNING TO THE CLASSROOM: BLENDED MODEL Quarterly or School Year Options Instructional Model as of August 11: Flexible E-Learning 7-12 Schedule • Option to return to the classroom quarterly • Monday, Tuesday: Cohort A attends class; Cohort • District curriculum B E-Learning • 7-12 students retain class schedule • Wednesday: Facilities deep cleaned and sterilized; Teacher Prep Day; All student E-Learning Day Opt-In for the Year • Thursday, Friday: Cohort A, E-Learning; Cohort B, • 4K-6 Alternative Programs and Curriculum attends class • 7-12 Online Learning Center • Rural Virtual Academy (spots are currently 4K-6 Schedule filled) • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday • Wednesday: Facilities deep cleaned and sterilized; Teacher Prep Day; All student E-Learning Day REOPENING OF SCHOOLS 2020-21 SPAPSD
