DISC GOLF Disc golf wasn’t invented in Emporia, but we’ve perfected it. Emporia is home to the Glass Blown Open, the largest disc golf tournament in the world, along with many other PDGA sanctioned tournaments, including the 2018 PDGA Junior World Championships. Tie purpose of Emporia CVB’s Disc Golf Campaign was to invite golfers to come to Emporia to play year round, not just during the tournaments.
BROCHURE Tiousands of visitors come to Emporia every year to play disc golf. Tiis brochure was created to help those visitors know where to play and where to go for their disc golf shopping needs.

ONLINE Disc golf is heavily promoted online. In addition to social media posts, the Emporia CVB has posted several blog articles about the sport and why it is best played in Emporia. In order to attract more visitors to the website, a Google Adwords campaign has been running for the past year. Tiis campaign consists of search ads and targeted display ads that receive an average of 90,000 impressions a month.
FOR THE VISITORS When disc golfers come to town, a window cling greets them at the CVB offjce inviting them in for maps, guides and more information. Branded promotional items, such as mini discs or golf towels, were given away to players in town for the tournaments.
