S harjah Prevention and S afety Authority E stablished in 2014 According to Emiri Decree (55) for 2014 by H.H Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi Ruler of Sharjah. A ’ s vision is to reach a zero harm environment, this is achievable by collaboration of governmental S P S and private entities in the Emirate to implement the best OHS Standards across all sectors. Our goal is to raise awareness across the society regarding OHS, through training and awareness sessions, safety inspection tours and contribute into minimizing public and property related incident in order to raise public safety standards. S P S A is responsible to implement, monitor & offer advisory services to any OHS related issue in the E mirate of Sharjah.
Aman System Scope : AMAN is a 24/7 communicator device that integrates fire alarm systems with a central monitoring centre. This enables Sharjah C ivil Defence to centrally monitor, detect and report to any fire alarm emergencies from buildings located in various parts of the emirate of Sharjah, ensuring the safety of people and assets. L egislation: Based on the decision of the Executive C ouncil of the Emirate of Sharjah No. (20) for the year 2019 it is mandatory to install a safety system in all types of facilities. Overview: The system ensures rapid response in the event of fire, by linking fire-fighting systems in the facility to the operations center of the General Directorate of C ivil Defense in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Installation Requirements The input signal wires for the communicator shall be provided as Voltage F ree C onnections (VFC ). What is the C ost? 4200 AED is the cost to install the communicator which includes: • Supply, installation, testing and commissioning, monitoring of communication system • The communicator device with 3 years of manufacturer warranty • 1 year of maintenance on the communicator device • 2 Assessments of your building to determine if the communicator can be installed 450 AED is the cost for an additional assessment • The AMAN technicians will come prepared to install the communicator device when you schedule an appointment. They will allow 2 site visits as assessments. By the third site visit, the building should be in proper condition for installation. If it is again not ready by the third site visit, you will have to rectify the items and pay 450 AED before you can re-schedule the installation. 1500 AED is the cost for maintenance starting year 2 and onwards The above costs are fixed regardless of the size of your building. The above is not inclusive of VAT which will be applied.
Salama Institute Scope: Salama Preventive Training Institute has been accredited by SPSA to reduce occupational health and safety hazards by introducing mandatory special training programs for employees in the Emirate of Sharjah based on Sharjah Executive C ouncil Resolution No. (21) of 2019. L egislation: Based on the decision of the Executive C ouncil of the Emirate of Sharjah No. (31) of 2018 to issue the necessary permits for the parties wishing to practice preventive training activity. Target Group: • Laborers • Guardians of buildings (Watch men/ Door men). • Safety Officers.
