Community Development Code • CDC Section 422 – Significant Natural Resources • Section was included in the first development code. • Existing language adopted in 1989. • Key sections: 422-3.3, 3.5, and 3.6. • Clean Water Services: key partner for riparian areas protection and storm water control. • Mitigation • Requirements and standards are not specified.
Significant Natural Resources History • Early 80’s county resource inventory. • Metro Address of Regional Goal 5 program implementation: 2002 -2005. • County SNR map informed from Metro data mapping and analysis, Clean Water Services and prior county resource studies. • Primary focus was on riparian corridors and protection of flood plains. • Ordinance 662 adopted October ’06.
