Ask them about their PLC • Talk to them about it • What questions do they find tricky? • Why? • Can they articulate where they struggle? • If not, why not? NB: They SHOULD be able to do this!

Paper 1: Shakespeare and 19C novel • Ask them how they are revising • Test them on quotes – for theme as well as character • Ask them about context • Ask how the audience might have felt at the time • Would that be different today? • Ask them what was the writer trying to show – political motivation?
