How it works?
How did we get here? • 2011 – 2013 : Stakeholder input and activism for a bill • October, 2013 : CREA legislation passed by City Council • April, 2015 : PSC finalizes rules for CREA • June, 2016 : City Council fixes electricity credit value to be 1:1 • January, 2017 : PSC implements 1:1 credit value • Now : CREF projects being built
Maryland’s Program • 1:1 credit like DC • 3 year pilot program • Set aside space for LMI-focused projects • Wide variety of project models possible • Participation challenges for LMI residents
