Purpose for a Community Conversation • Provide an opportunity for people to express their hopes and desires for Kingston, as well as their concerns and issues with the future of our community. • Provide a venue for small group discussions on a selected list of issue groups. • Provide an opportunity to meet others who would be interested in working together to address issues of mutual interest.

 Process Mary McClure and Kirsten Jewell facilitated the event 
 Identify the issues which the participants wished to discuss 
 One hour table group discussions on eleven different topics followed by a break. Then a second one hour table group discussion 
 Short summary report of the results of each table group to the assembled group 
 Table facilitators and scribes met to assemble the rough report

  5. Each group was asked to answer 4 questions: What exactly is the issue, problem, or challenge facing our community in this area? What are possible short term (1 to 3 years) solutions? What are possible long term (4 to 10 years) solutions? How will each of you participate in solutions to the issue(s)?
