Continuing to develop the workforce through formal coach and umpire education and ensures the workforce have suitable qualifications, insurance and PVG certification.

The Role Responsible for promoting the wellbeing and safeguarding of all participants to allow them to enjoy a positive experience of curling and to encourage lifelong participation. This is achieved by providing continuous support, training and guidance to our clubs, volunteers and staff within the area of Welfare & Safeguarding (Child and Adult protection) and acting as a first point of contact for any and all child/adult protection and welfare related enquirers.
The Role Reviewed and updated the RCCC Child protection policy – Adult policy to follow Feb 2016 Lead on the RCCC participation and respond to the audits by Volunteer Scotland and Children 1st Impliment recommendations following those audits across RCCC and plan for implimentation in the wider sport Act as the 1 st point of contact for child protection concerns raised by indavidules and clubs Manage any related caseload resulting from concerns raised Conveening a panle to deal with the incident Advising clubs on how to handle incidents internally Carrying out case reviews following completion Delivering Safe Guarding and Protecting Children Workshops for member clubs
