CLASS OF 2020 Spring Information

GRADUATION • Graduation is Saturday May 30 th at 9am at UTA College Park • Rehearsal moved from 6:30pm to 4:30pm on Monday May 18 th at at UTA College Park- you are responsible for getting yourself there!! • Graduation caps/gowns/invitations will be in on Thursday 3/5 (before Spring Break). You or a friend with your ID can pick your items up, if they are paid in full. If you can’t pick them up on 3/5 you can go to 2016 E. Randol Mill Rd., Suite 401 Arlington, TX 76011 during Spring Break to pick them up or they will be available in the Main Office at Lamar after 3/18 (if paid in full). Jostens won’t be back on campus until mid -April. • If you have not ordered a cap and gown you need to visit www.goldengraduation.com • DO NOT GO TO THE NORMAL JOSTENS WEBSITE YOUR ORDER WILL NOT GET HERE!

FUNDRAISER • . Orders and money will be taken March 4 th and 5 th at lunch on both days by the band hall or after school until 3:30.

PROM • Prom – May 16 th at AT&T Stadium 7-11pm • Prom Ticket Sales are March 30 th and 31 st and April 1 st -3 rd outside of band hall at lunch and after school. $75 per ticket. Cash or money order ONLY. • Late sales are April 22 & 23 rd cost is $85 and place will be Mrs. Turner’s room 124. If you are taking a non -Lamar student you will need to pick up a form from Mrs. Turner now or when you purchase your tickets for them to fill out.

OTHER DATES • Project Celebration starts at midnight May 17 th at Lamar. (You do not have to attend the Prom to go to Project Celebration) Ticket sales will be in April dates TBD. • Senior Awards-May 19 at 9:30am in Gym A

MENINGITIS SHOTS • We have a note from the nurse. Lamar and the Tarrant County Health Department will be hosting a shot clinic at Lamar on April 24 at 9:00 a.m. to give our seniors who need their meningitis vaccine the opportunity to get it free or for $8 (depending on eligibility). If your student has not had a dose of MCV in the past 5 years, they need another dose. This is required to enter most colleges, even for online classes. The consent and vaccine information statement will be available beginning March 23 in the school clinic for students to pick up. More information and reminders will be given to students as we get closer to the clinic date.
