History ¡ In ¡1941 ¡Shure ¡was ¡contracted ¡by ¡ • the ¡USA ¡armed ¡forces ¡to ¡supply ¡ microphones ¡during ¡WW ¡II. ¡ ¡ The ¡microphone ¡was ¡mostly ¡used ¡ • by ¡the ¡U.S. ¡Army ¡and ¡Navy. ¡
