LAW WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH ORDER, 2009 PART II FIFTH SCHEDULE: HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES Division I : General hazardous substances Covers – Corrosives, Flammable substances, explosives, oxidizing substances….mutagens, toxic substances, irritants and substances hazardous to aquatic environment. Division II : Specific hazardous substances Covers – Acetylene, Ammonia, Ammonium nitrate fertilizers, Benzene, ……Paraxylene, Petroleum gases, flammable petroleum products and gasolines, naphthas, kerosenes, gas oils - in specific quantities. 04 w w w . s h e n a . g o v . b n

LAW WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH (GENERAL PROVISIONS) REGULATIONS, 2014 Reg 40: Duty on the Occupier to take all reasonably practicable measures to § ensure persons at work are not exposed to toxic substances . Reg 41: Refers to competent person in control who has adequate § knowledge of the properties of the hazardous substances and their dangers. Warning notices, precautionary measures to be taken, safe storage to § ensure a safe workplace. Reg 42: Refers to “ Warning Labels ” § Reg 43: Refers to “ Safety Data Sheets ”, access to such information, and its § availability to all persons who are liable to be exposed to the substance. 05 w w w . s h e n a . g o v . b n
