How does the Peer Tutoring work? • Peer Tutoring is FREE and open Monday through Thursday after school from 2:15 – 3:15pm. • No appointment needed – just show up to the location designated! • When you arrive, you will sign in on the computer and be greeted by a tutor. Tell them what subject you need help with and they will assign a tutor based on your subject.
What can I get help with? ANYTHING and EVERYTHING – EVERY DAY! Math (ALEKS topics, assignments, etc.), English, Science, History, Languages, APs, etc. See the list provided on the last slide.
Can I work with the same tutor again? Yes, of course you can. All you have to do is ask the tutor what days they tutor each week and schedule to return on a day they are tutoring. In the event that your tutor is not available, there are many tutors ready to help.
What should I bring? Bring your notes, practice problems, a writing utensil, and a calculator if needed. You can also bring anything else you feel necessary to enhance your learning experience.
What's the minimum time to work with a tutor? There is not a set minimum time, but you will get the most out of your tutoring if you come in larger increments (2:15 – 3:15pm).
