Photographs • Photographs play a very important role in documenting the past because they help us to capture a snapshot of that time period. • Why are there not many photographs of schools/school children from Victorian/Edwardian times compared to the multitude of photographs that we have today? • ANSWER: • Photography was expensive and had to be staged and printed from film whereas today we can use digital cameras/IPads that require no film and are portable.
