Rod ¡Williams, ¡Chairman ¡ The ¡current ¡Board ¡had ¡a ¡bapFsm ¡of ¡fire. ¡ • The ¡current ¡Board ¡‘inherited’ ¡a ¡really ¡well ¡developed ¡operaFng ¡Lodge ¡thanks ¡to ¡ • John ¡Bowen ¡and ¡his ¡many ¡helpers ¡both ¡voluntary ¡and ¡employed. ¡ The ¡current ¡Board ¡took ¡over ¡when ¡there ¡was ¡already ¡considerable ¡“ talk ” ¡within ¡ • the ¡Stroud ¡Community ¡about ¡an ¡operaFng ¡paradigm ¡for ¡the ¡future ¡that ¡addressed ¡ pressures ¡being ¡experienced ¡in ¡Stroud ¡and ¡across ¡Australia. ¡ We ¡have ¡carefully ¡progressed ¡the ¡general ¡‘ talk ’ ¡into ¡a ¡plan ¡of ¡acFon. ¡ • The ¡plan ¡of ¡acFon ¡is ¡fundamentally ¡based ¡upon ¡an ¡approach ¡that:-­‑ ¡ • o is ¡thorough, ¡ ¡ o has ¡integrity, ¡ ¡ o Is ¡Resident ¡focused, ¡ ¡ o is ¡Stroud ¡Community ¡focused ¡and ¡ ¡ o is ¡mindful ¡of ¡the ¡rapidly ¡changing ¡aged ¡care ¡environment. ¡ The ¡Plan ¡of ¡AcFon ¡– ¡“A ¡New ¡Paradigm” ¡– ¡is ¡what ¡this ¡presentaFon ¡will ¡describe. ¡ •
