Our Process Rubric review of 6 vendors - pared down to 3 ● Teacher Voice - Comprehensive secondary team to ● analyze 3 - narrowed to 2 (Edgenuity and Accelerate Education) Student Voice - Nine students and two parents ● previewed both platforms Principal Voice - previewed both products ● Professional Learning Supports - team of teachers, ● principals, and district administrators reviewed PD proposals Final Teacher recommendation after looking at all of ● the different groups
Final Recommendation Quotes: Teacher: “Ultimately I chose [Edgenuity] because 1) everything needed is 100% online (we need no supplemental materials), 2) the support for SPED/EL is outstanding - the guided notes that can be printed are a major plus for the population I serve, 3) students overwhelming preferred this platform. If our goal is to always put STUDENTS first, this is a clear winner.” Student: “I appreciate the progress bar, which would be helpful to parents checking in on their child’s progress, as well as the chronologically ordered lessons and the estimated completion time. I also liked the videos where a teacher was next to the passage/ video, making it feel like I was back in a classroom”
Why Edgenuity ⪢ Consistent platform to use for remote & blended model and Bethel Virtual Academy. ⪢ Differentiation and Language tools were very robust. ⪢ Students overwhelmingly chose Edgenuity due to engaging curriculum and self monitoring tools. ⪢ Customizable for teachers to adjust as needed to meet student needs.
