  17. The Basics… $95 application fee This allows you to apply to 5 programs (no more than 3 at one college) February 1st – Important Date This is the date of equal consideration. Especially important for oversubscribed programs

  20. You may only accept one ne offer at a time. If after IMPORTANT… accepting an offer of admission, you change your mind or receive another offer that you prefer, you may accept the new offer (after 1 business day) as long as you meet the deadline. The first accepted offer may remain on the table or may be revo voked. Once you have confirmed your Offer of Admission, the college will communicate with you directly about tuition fees and everything you need to know to begin your program.

You may wish to wait until all offers appear to be in before deciding to accept one (unless it is your first choice). This may be particularly important for highly competitive programs.

  33. How do the institutions get my marks? As a current high school student, your marks will be forwarded by your home school to both the college and university application centres. The demographic data/marks are sent 5 times throughout the year. It is VERY important, however, that a few days after you have applied, you check to make sure that the marks s have uploa oaded d correctly. If there is an error, or you do not see them, check in with a guidance counsellor to see if something needs to be adjusted.

  34. Can I make changes to my application? College: You can make as many changes to your program choices as you like, with no additional charge, as long as the choices all fall within the same school year. Keep in mind, however, that any changes made after the Equal Consideration Date may affect your chances of getting into a program, as applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. University: There is no fee for replacing a program choice with another program choice at the same university. However, there may be an additional fee replace a program at a different university.

  35. Can I defer my offer of admission? College: According to ontariocolleges.ca, you may NOT defer an offer of admission University: If you are admitted to a university but wish to delay your studies for a year or more, you will need to reach an agreement with the university in question. The university will determine any conditions .
