Three Pilots • NOCTI: Credentials and Rubrics • NYCDOE: Credentials, Rubrics and Badges • Pearson: Rubrics as Badges
The largest provider of industry-based credentials for career and technical education (CTE) programs across the nation. A comprehensive Vocational-Technical school, serving high school students from the county's eight Senior High Schools.
Learning Environment • At the start of a program, students take NOCTI pre-test to test their initial preparation for their credential • Teachers have been using ForAllRubrics for formative assessment • Student who reach the cut score on the post- test receive the credential and an open badge
Pilot Project • Teachers at ICTC are developing rubrics for a library to go along with the NOCTI credentials • NOCTI and ForAllRubrics are developing an interface so that both the NOCTI and ForAllRubrics badges are available on both platforms. • This opens an opportunity to share classroom rubrics and validate their efficacy.
