What does the counselor do? Paper heart= I care for all students. Band-aids= I help students who are hurting. Legos= I help solve problems. Hat= I wear many hats/I have many jobs at school. Happy Face Ball= I help students who are stressed. Mint= I can be a "lifesaver." Kleenex= I help kids who are sad and upset Eraser= I can help fix mistakes Glasses= I help kids see things differently

Y TU TAMBIEN: MAKING THE IVY LEAGUE AND TOP TIER UNIVERSITIES ACCESSIBLE TO STUDENTS ABOUT THE SPEAKER Juan Carlos is the founder of the Y Tu Tambien, the college access program of the La Unidad Latina Foundation, which unites Latino alumni from across the Ivy League to help students in need gain acceptance into their desired colleges, and provides school and career exploration workshops. He is the current Chair and founding member of the Yale Latino Alumni Association of the Tri State Area, a board member of the Yale Latino Alumni Network, and a founding board member of the Inter- Ivy League Latino Alumni Council. Juan Carlos is a proud native of Rio Grande City, in Starr County, Tx.
