  2. OBJECTIVES • To promote a healthy and active lifestyle amongst our pupils. • To build resilience in our students through the run. • To act as a event to bond as a class and school • To give back to the society as part of the Walk for Rice programme.

  3. Event Details Day/Date: Friday, 8 April 2016 Time: 7:20 – 11:30 am Venue: Bishan Park 2 Attire: PE Attire (Class T ‐ shirt is allowed) Sports shoes * Please do not bring big bags, just bring your valuables and water bottles

  5. Getting there Walking (From AMKSS): 1. Walk along Ang Mo Kio Street 22 in the direction towards Kebun Bahru market until you reach Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1. 2. Cross the overhead bridge and the gathering point is right in front. Driving: 1. Turn left into Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 from the junction of Marymount Road 2. Turn left into the carpark opposite SPC petrol station and the gathering point is right in front of the car park. Bus: 1. Take bus 262 from Ang Mo Kio bus interchange. 2. Alight at the bus stop opposite Blk 220 (7 stops)

  8. Things to note • Rest well the day before. Have enough sleep. • Drink lots of water the day before. • Please bring your water bottle along. • Have a light breakfast before you come for the event. • If you are not feeling well before the start of the event, please inform your Form Teachers. • During the event, if you don’t feel well, stop and make your way to the nearest first aid post

  9. Things to note • Please display the number tag on the front of your T ‐ shirt prominently. • Please ensure you are wearing the correct number tag which has been issued to you according to your class register. • Please return all number tags to your FTs at the end of the run.

  10. Contingency Plan • Inclement weather before start of event – Take cover along the way. • FTs – Relay system to be activated. • Inclement weather during event – Take cover in nearest shelters
