The principal aim was to nationalize all HSE Supervisory positions within Total- for a large EPC (Fluor) looking to contract a civil engineering and construction company for a Gabon’s Projects division. Our team selected, recruited, coached and then supervised over large bauxite mine in Guinea-Conakry. The project scope was unusually large for Colas as it 80 Gabonese HSE Supervisors, coordinating a team of up to 36 people between 2012 and covered many construction activities that were not core (road construction). We provided our 2016 support to Colas in the tendering phase of the project from Côte d’Ivoire and then managed and supervised all HSE related matters for the duration of the operations in Guinea, which covered the construction of roads, bridges, a dam, a railway track and a car dumper.
