Toilet Flushing • Concerns about antibiotic resistant bacteria like C. Dif. • Reclaimed water treaters continue their support. • Other states’ requirements will be evaluated.
Edible Crops • Treaters continue to support. • One area of focus is adequate management of risk posed by pathogens. • Currently looking at practices in other states.
Total Dissolved Solids- Vegetation • Concerns about effects on vegetation and soils . • Best management practices are very site specific. • TDS treatment requirements would prevent use of reclaimed water. • Evaluating appropriateness of other types of requirements in Regulation 84.
Total Dissolved Solids-Groundwater • Concerns about effects on groundwater . • Discharges from irrigation with reclaimed water specifically exempt from permitting in Regulation 61. • Effects on groundwater from reclaimed water is not ripe for Regulation 84.
